Sola, the Sun

Adnati has a single yellow sun, called Sola in Common.

The Common Calendar is solar-based. It takes 362 days for Adnati to cycle from the Winter Solstice through the rest of Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn, and back to the Winter Solstice.

Almost every religion has myths and legends about the Sun. The Almagest, for example, see the Sun as a ball of fire in the sky, personified by Melusina, the Dragon: fire in its untamed by not rampant state. The Theosi believe that the Sun is Aurinko, the golden palace of the gods of the Heavens, Iliós and Vasilissa. The elven gods of the Estarine believe that the gods Ilimoran Toruvial and Lythia Nuros harnessed the power of the stars to create the Sun. The Akh’Barad believe that the Sun is Fah himself, their Sun God who always appears as either an orb of fire or as a humanoid shape engulfed in flames. Those who worship The Trinity believe that Bheyn, the Father, is the god of Sky and Air, and of the Sun.
